Konjiam Resort, Korea. Beautiful place for meetings!

Just concluded a week of meetings at the Konjiam Resort in Korea. It's a Ski resort, and below you see the Skadi Ski House at night. It's a great place during this tail end of the skiing season. There's a sizable crowd of skiers, mostly families and friends, so it's very family-oriented and creates a fun appeal. No, this isn't the place for the hard core, adventure skiers. I understand from the Koreans, that crowd would go to other places. And so Konjiam is a great destination for meetings, and it feels very spacious and not crowded in any way. The rooms are large and comfortable, and there is a wide variety of restaurant choices, from Italian fine dining to fast foods for hotdogs from Denmark and Lotte burgers. Of course there are great Korean restaurants, and there's also a nice coffee shop Angel in Us that closes at 12 midnight, so you can laze there and read or surf with your favorite cup. Another nice thing is the availability of wifi all throughout the resort.

There's a stream right beside the resort, and a pleasant walking path around the stream.

Here are the 3 advanced slopes at Konjiam Reaort. There are less steep slopes for beginners. If you enlarge this, you'll see how many night skiers there are. And seeing how small the people are, you'll appreciate how high the slopes are! And this is lean season. I used my Leica D-Lux 5 for this shot and am frankly amazed with the sharpness of the photo and the ability to see individual skiers at great distances!
