The National Museum of Singapore by night - Leica D-Lux 5 unedited, handheld photos

Last night in Singapore and looking for an architectural photo op late into the night? Check out The National Museum of Singapore.

Approaching it from a distance, you know it has promise. Of course if you went in the day, you'd see a lot more! The museum is very active, and we've been blessed to see the Pompei and Mt. Vesuvius display, the The Treasures of Vacheron Constantin Constantin, the Dreams and Reality, Masterpieces display from the Musée d'Orsay. In other words, check it often for something new!

But if you're leaving, well photos of the museum may be your best alternative, until you come back!
Walking up close let's you appreciate more of the details of the architecture.

Being brightly lit, handheld photography is no issue at all. Plus, Singapore being as it is, you can shoot to your hearts content without worry of anyone eyeing you or your gear. (Of course, continue to be watchful, it's a good habit.)

Various details of the building are worth individual focus to make them more interesting.

And of course, you need to explore various angles.

Here is the main entrance, with a view of a staircase to a staircase.

Here's a stone display outside the museum. This definitely looks more dramatic at night.

Singapore by night, in photos. Enjoy the simple beauties in life.

I took these photos on my way home from a discipleship and mentoring meeting. It's a blessing to meet with elder bothers in Christ and learn from their wisdom and insight from decades of walking with the Lord.
