Best airport arrival information and animation board in KLIA

I saw this arrival information board at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and I have to say I was pleasantly impressed. It's a Samsung display of no less than 20 large LCD TV panels. Twelve make up the central display area, and four in each side provide information and Ads.

The animation starts with a zoomed out view of the planet with the continents, with highlights on major cities and their weather.

It then zooms in on Asia and ASEAN, showing flights into Malaysia. Then it zooms in further to show flights coming into KLIA with more detailed info. Then the animation cycles. It's similar to some of the flight tracking apps available on the iTunes Store, but looks much better, especially with the enormous display.

Quite impressive to see, and many people were just transfixed while waiting for friends and family to arrive on their flights.

It's a nice addition to the KLI Airport.

(I have to say though, I'm a great fan of the Singapore Changi Airport, which in my view is clearly the best in ASEAN in terms of newness, design, entertainment, variety of things to see and do, speed and ease of transit, comfort, classy shops and boutiques, food outlets, cozy business lounges, fresh promotions constantly going on, having an App to help navigate and make good use of the airport, convenience and pleasure to be in and to pass through. Overall, being a frequent traveller, it's great to have Singapore Changi as the base to fly from, and I'm very thankful to God for this.)
