Just finished Damascus Countdown by Joel C. Rosenberg. This book is Highly recommended!!
If you enjoy a good Mission Impossible or James Bond movie with all the spy chases and thrills, this I think you'll find even better! The scenarios are more real, maybe too real it sometimes feels like you're reading coverage of current events about Israel, Iran and Syria on Time magazine! Plus it drops the shallow, "instant affections" in the aforementioned movies, replaced by rock solid and heart-warming real life relationships.
Even more, the book gives insight into future events foretold in the Bible, which will happen, just as surely as the Bible predicted the rebirth of Israel as a modern state after centuries of being lost, despite so many people and groups having actively attempted to prevent this very thing from happening! Yes, regardless of whether you believe it or not, God's Word, His prophecies in the Bible, they will come to pass, and most people would be surprised when these start unfolding for all to see. Better therefore to be prepared, at least by having an awareness of Bible prophecy!
