GBB showcases Singapore's prowess in building gardens. You'd see huge natural crystal and stone formations just out in the open, statues and art pieces displaying Singapore's cultural heritage, and of course lots of trees and flowers.

Gardens By The Bay boasts on its website of an "exotic diversity of plants from all over the world". Of course the attraction you cannot miss even if you tried is the Supertree Grove. The towering structures of concrete and steel are fascinating, yet they are more sophisticated then one would initially imagine as they have many environmental features built into them like photovoltaic cells to power lights.
We've been to GBB a number of times, and I've let my wife and daughter go to the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest and I've heard great comments. For the guys, you should at least do the OCBC Skyway.
The OCBC Skyway gives an even more impressive view of the Supertree Grove. the cool breeze while n the elevated walkway is very enjoyable. iPhone 5 photo.
Gardens By The Bay is a nice place to go and enjoy outdoors with great scenery, and appreciate God's creation and mans stewardship. All the concrete and steel structures, along with the dazzling lights are mans ingenious handiwork of design and construction, ultimately using materials from the ground of the Earth, then processed and engineered using proven methodologies. Yet with all of mans technology, only God can create a tree! A towering, organic structure that can grow well over 200 feet or 60 meters like the majestic giant sequoias of the Redwood National Park and live more than a hundred years without any maintenance! What's more, trees grow from tiny seeds, and are capable of breaking forth and growing in the presence of water, then start gathering nutrition from the dust of the Earth, automatically by themselves, then start using the power of the sun for photosynthesis. How amazing is that?! (If only we could build houses that way!)
God created all the trees and flowers on the third day of creation week, and man has benefitted from, enjoyed and propagated them from then on.
Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them"; and it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. There was evening and there was morning, a third day. (Genesis 1:11-13 NASB)
You can access Gardens By The Bay from The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. There is a passageway from the mall, above the Venice-styled gondola rides, near the corner with the whirlpool fountain where Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is.
The passage goes to the top of The Shoppes by MBS and leads to a bridge where you can view the recreational waterways built around Gardens By The Bay.
There is a passage from inside The Shoppes at MBS, passing above the lobby of the Marina Bay Sands hotel, and leading to a bridge to Gardens By The Bay, a nice, scenic walk. These three photos were taken with an iPhone 5.
Another alternative way from The Shoppes by MBS to Gardens By The Bay and to avoid the sun on the bridgeway is the underground passage connecting MBS to the Bayfront MRT station.
This pleasant walk will let you enjoy the typical arctic cold of Singapore underground malls a but longer before re-emerging to the bright sun over GBB.
There is also a huge underground passage connecting The Shoppes at MBS, to Gardens By The Bay, with the usual cold of Singapore underground malls. These three photos were taken with an iPhone 5.
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish. (Psalms 1:1-6 NASB)
Hope you enjoy a visit to Gardens By The Bay, Singapore.
