Building a new house is very special. It is a wonderful privilege! One to be enjoyed and not sweated out unnecessarily. It can also be a very trying period though. Where decisions can make or break you. in fact, I know of one couple that kept fighting over decisions on the house such that after the house was built, the couple split up. New house, but no more couple to live in it. How sad, but this is a true possibility! So let your house building be a special time and remember to Keep God as part of your project. After all, the blessing and the ability to build is from Him!
As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be proud and arrogant and contemptuous of others, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God, Who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for [our] enjoyment. (1 Timothy 6:17 AMP)
And He is Sovereign! So it would be wise for us to seek God's wisdom and follow His leading.
EXCEPT THE Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; except the Lord keeps the city, the watchman wakes but in vain. [Ps. 121:1, 3, 5.] It is vain for you to rise up early, to take rest late, to eat the bread of [anxious] toil–for He gives [blessings] to His beloved in sleep. (Psalm 127:1, 2 AMP)
