Missing your Speculoos Cookie Butter in Singapore? I've heard people bemoan even blog that they've searched the whole of Singapore and just couldn't find it being sold anywhere! Too bad when it's been the rage for quite some time already. And not a few here in this city-state, which boasts access to almost all of the world's goodies, haven't even tried it!
To date, you still won't find Trader Joe's Speculoos Cookie Butter in any Fair Price or Giant or Cold Storage. But.... There's help to the rescue!
If you're a fan of coffee, you ought to know Lotus Biscoff, the "original caramelised cookie", a European favorite. Well, Lotus Biscoff makes their own version of the Speculoos Cookie Butter, and in my opinion it tastes even better.
Lotus Biscoff is really yummy, with a great taste and consistency and just the right thickness. It's not like one of the many copycat brands that sell Brand Y's Speculoos Cookie Butter with real Speculoos inside, which end up with oil separation and are too thick or too thin, and don't quite taste as good. Plus a great bonus - Lotus Biscoff is about 33% lower in price versus Trader Joe's Speculoos, selling for $8.50 in Singapore.
So where is Lotus Biscoff available in Singapore? Just look for Choco Express, there are 8 outlets in Singapore. Like the one at One Raffles Place, or at Parkway Parade, or the Marina Square.
