The Ideal Luxury Backpack, more choices!

More luxury backpack choices are available. All have great features. But not all are best for you. So which one do you need, and what choices are out there? The answer of course, depends on what you want, how you will use it, and what your spending target is. Here are some options to help guide your sights.
Gucci full leather backpacks with Gucci embossing. One is a slim size with a classic backpack top loading design with top flap. The other is a half-moon design with full zippered openings. Both are elegant. For slender men, go for the slim design as the wider, half-moon pack may look big for you. Available in black and blue leather, these are stand out pieces.
I particularly like the dark blue color with the bold silver-coloured zippers. The bag carries well on the back and the straps are comfortable, though I'd prefer the straps to be a bit heftier in construction. Carrying the bag with the top strap is not the best, but it works. Note that this is not one for carrying computers. Price range is Singapore Dollar S$ 2799.

The new Alfred Dunhill backpack is a combination of leather and synthetic fabric. Quite refined, available in black with black leather trim, dark blue with brown leather trim, and a lighter shade of blue also with brown trim.
These have a full zipper front construction, with very tastefully placed leather accents. The shoulder straps look good from the front and are sturdy and well built. Carrying the bag from the top is comfortable, and this bag is designed to carry a computer. Price is S$ 1299. But here's a tip, negotiate a 10% discount and you're likely to get it. ( Fresh info, the dark blue and light blue colours went on a 50% Off, GSS sale at Singapore Changi airport covering the weeks of July 12. Great if this was your choice and you got it there!)
Unique pieces. Here's one for the truly eccentric. Want an eye-catching backpack? This is a limited release from Louis Vuitton. Available in three catchy colours. See them in stores. Check out my earlier blogs and full reviews on Louie Vuitton backpacks. They range in price from S$3100 to S$3900 for the canvas bags.
Bally full leather backpack. Quite nice, though when I fit it, the straps keep going to the edges of my shoulders. It's just the way the straps are positioned, and it's very uncomfortable. This bag is only for those with the widest shoulders. Black color only. Price is S$1,800. There is a new Bally backpack with a different design and in dark blue color that I find really nice and carries well on my back. The Bally backpacks will suitably carry a computer. If the new one were available earlier it would have been my second luxury backpack already! Now I'm thinking whether it should be my third!! But then, do I really need a third backpack? Let's see...
Here's another new Bally backpack with a bright blue color and unconventional shape. This goes for around $1700.
On the Bally website, this new backpack appears sleek, yet actuality it is quite large! The soft and thick calf leather is very supple, but for me this bag was a bit ill fitting. Seemed like the straps were a bit short. There is no top handle but instead there is a top strap so the bag can be carried on your shoulders as a messenger bag, which is a new concept for backpacks.
The bright blue color for this bag is interesting. But I quite prefer the Bally dark blue full leather, full front zipper backpack.

So there you have it - more choices.
I got a very masculine, nice brown and taupe full leather, full zippered Coach backpack after my black full leather Tumi Executive Brief backpack. But these new options are very interesting.
