Gucci has just launched a new backpack in Singapore, and the design is both masculine and bold, with classic Gucci styling. The bag gives a new twist to the classic backpack shape while not being overly trendy. This is one bag to consider for your office stuff as well as for the weekends.
The bold accents of pure leather, black trim and black plastic zippers immediately jump out, while the classic brown Gucci canvas provide the familiar signature look. The Gucci canvas material is water resistant and keeps your important things safe even with slight rains. The bag curves towards the top and the zippers follow the contours, eliminating squared edges and providing a smooth and sleek look. The zippers work smoothly enough, and they allow a small padlock to be attached, which comes in handy when travelling and you need to leave your backpack in the open.
The Gucci logo in front and the leather straps on he zippers are classy additions. Internal construction of the bag is good and sturdy. I would prefer more pockets inside, but the external pocket provides sufficient space for small items.
The shoulder straps are generous and comfortable. The length of the straps is adequate so the bag can be worn low and this gives more flexibility. The back of the bag is a breathable mesh, which makes it more airy and comfortable when carried. This feature makes it well suited for Singapore. The top handle is sturdy leather with an adequate size for even large hands.
Overall this is a great bag especially with the price tag of approximately SGD 1,750. Thank God for designers and manufacturers that keep providing us options with better features.
