Nikon EM and Nikon FG 20 cameras for collectors

The Nikon EM is a memorable camera for me. When I was growing up, this was one of the Nikon models geared more for enthusiasts and could be a back-up camera for professionals. It was one of the first with electronic shutters while maintaining a manual shutter that operates even without a battery. At that time, this camera was out of reach of my personal savings from my weekly school allowance, but it remained as one of my "dream cameras", even though later on I would already (by God's grace and blessings!) have the latest in electronic Nikon's from the F301 to F401 to the N600 to the D40, D70, D90 and the D7000. I'm more into small digital Leica's now, but I have maintained a fancy for the earlier mechanical and semi-electronic cameras.

And so when I saw this Nikon EM at one of my wife's frequented furniture shops in BF, Paranaque, Philippines, I immediately took the opportunity to purchase it. It came with an original Nikon E series, 36-72 mm, 1:3.5 zoom lens.

It is in good though not mint condition. The mechanical shutter, self timer, zoom and the focusing work well, but I can't say you can use this with a film roll to take good photos. Ideal as a collectors display item.

Willing to sell at SGD 200 excluding shipping. Payment can be made to my PayPal account prior to shipping. Contact me through posting a comment if you are interested.

Another Nikon camera that goes with the famous Nikon camera system poster is the Nikon FG20. It comes with an original Nikon Nikkor 50 mm, 1:1.8 standard lens. This one I purchased directly from s seller inside BF and I had this camera for many years already.

Good but not mint condition. Willing to sell at SGD 200 excluding shipping. Payment can be made to my PayPal account prior to shipping. Contact me through posting a comment if interested.

It's nice to just see these cameras on display, even just these photos of them. So there's no need to buy, just come back and view this post. These cameras are a testament to the early models and the development of cameras. They are also a subtle reminder that if man took centuries and decades to conduct deliberate research and intentionally develop the technology and manufacturing capability to move into electronic auto-focus and auto exposure adjustment, auto writing into digital media and have broader exposure latitude, things we take for granted that our eyes do instantaneously in conjunction with our brains, then this tells us that mindless evolution from inanimate particles to highly complex and integrated people with high precision organic optics and vastly intricate brains, is simply unobserved scientifically and cannot be replicated and is just proselytized by people who inaccurately take survival-of-the-fittest and germ resistance and devolution that are easily observed in nature, but don't result to new and more complex species as "proof of macro evolution" and who refuse to acknowledge God as Creator.

That's it for now.
Bye and take care
