Singapore Beautiful City Walk - Kembangan MRT to Bedok Reservoir

Looking for an alternative activity in Singapore? Something a bit more outdoorsy and unconventional? Take this refreshing City Walk through Singapore from the Kembangan MRT station to the Bedok Reservoir and be amazed at the gardens and how all the places are well planned and maintained, even here where it is somewhat distant from the city centre.

The Bedok Reservoir Park, a serene place to sit on a park bench or to stroll. Runners, joggers, walkers and bikers frequent this place. Not to be missed if you can include on your schedule.

If you can carve out 3 hours of your schedule and want to have an easy and enjoyable walk, take this Siglap Park Connector route. You start off at the Kembangan MRT station on the green line and follow the path along the side of a football field, then eventually leads to a walking overpass bridge. From the bridge, walk to your right and follow the path beside the HDBs until you get to one walking overpass bridge, then a second.

On the 2nd wLking overpass bridge, you will see the Park Connector sign above.

You will now get to the Bedok Town Park.

From here you will see some beautiful trees set in nicely trimmed gardens.
And it's amazing to consider that these are just "normal" gardens, not display gardens like what you will find at the Singapore Botabical Gardens, or the Gatdens By The Bay. Then you'll appreciate how the typical Singapore is very beautiful.

There are even separate paths for people who are walking or running, and for bikers. And the paths wind along pleasantly, making it more interesting.

Check out this tree that is fully covered with moss, or is that grass?
You will then get to this sign:

When you see this, you are less than 20 minutes away from the Bedok Reservoir! Keep following the PCN path!
After a short walk and crossing the road, you know you are right there and you will now see this sign:

Congratulations! You have made it to the Bedok Reservoir Park. Enjoy the place. Sit and take in the fresh air. Or walk along the sandy path.

Walking back to Kembangan MRT will get you there in less than 3 hours total, with a lot of good exercise. Or, take a bus or a taxi from the Bedok Reservoir. I've done this walk in the early morning and also late at night. Both are good. Completely safe also, with no need for flashlights since the paths are well lit all along the way. I do enjoy walking with a flashlight though. No need for backpacks but you can bring one water bottle. You will see one vending machines along the way though, and you are never too far from a commercial place, but do make sure to drink one bottle for this walk so you won't get dehydrated.

Enjoy Singapore! Blessings!
