Very Rare Rolex Daytona “The Unicorn” in Singapore

A timepiece so rare that it surprised even collectors when it made its public debut in 2013, the Rolex Daytona “The Unicorn” is on display in The Hour Glass, Knightsbridge, Singapore before it goes to auction in Geneva middle of this year 2018.

It is a solid white gold piece (don’t mind the greenish hue in the photo!) with a white gold bark finished bracelet.

The catalog provides a starting price of USD 3,000,000.

There are many items on display as part of the auction pieces. Lots of unified Rolex Daytona watches, Patel Philippe, Langor, AP,  Omega and a number of others. A handful of gold pocket watches are also displayed.

Here’s another interesting piece, a Rolex GMT with black and red bezel and a plexiglass instead of sapphire crystal case, in stainless steel. The tellowish hue or patina on the bezel and luminous face markers make this conspicuous as a vintage timepiece.

It’s a 1959 vintage Rolex. Suggested auction price was US $63,000 to US $84,000. Wow!!

Seeing these pieces, I will keep my 1997 Rolex GMT2 with black and red bezel. And others 😊 you should do the same! Enjoy it and let it appreciate over time. Long relationships increase value!!
