Planning on getting a new luxury belt? Here’s something just seen at the Taipei Taoyuan Airport Duty Free - Ferragamo belts with more subtle yet distinctly different buckles.
New this October 2018 from Ferragamo- interesting new buckles with catchy yet subtle design lines.
There is also a gold variant that comes out more subdued.
The winner for me from this set is the matte steel buckle with the reversible blue leather.
Also seen was this Tumi Apha 2 black leather backpack. The new model is softer and somewhat lighter than the previous version, but still packs all your many stuff with more than adequate protection and pockets and cubbyholes.
With this Tumi, you can’t go wrong when you need to carry a great deal of volume and weight. It’s pleasantly supple to carry, yet extremely strong. Just be conscious that if you’re carrying both this backpack and a rolling cabin bag, you may not be able to bring both on some flights unless you’re on business class. So this is ideal if you’re packing it alone.

The brushed steel with black antique deep brush lines give a catchy appearance while being more subtle. It’s a definite change from the classic design and is quite refreshing.

Definitely if I were to get a gold buckle, this gets high on the short list of options. It comes with the classic black and brown reversible leather. There’s also a shiny nickel buckle with the brush lines that’s a bit more flashy and glittery. This comes with a reversible belt matched with a dark grayish green color.

The price in Taipei Duty Free is a tad more expensive than the Singapore Changi prices for the Ferragamo belts, but these models are still in limited locations.

I just found it notable that the price was about 10% or 15% lower than Singapore, unless you can get it on sale.

That’s it for now.
Safe travels.
